The Rose Fletcher Memorial Competition 2025
Competitors had until May 10th to submit their entries. This allowed our judge, Ross Harvey, a week to assess their performances. On Sunday May 18th the competition went public and every competitor received their comment sheets from the judge. The results are published below. Click on any of the entries to view each performance.

We are very grateful to McCallum Bagpipes who once again have sponsored this competition.

BEST DRESSED PIPER

1st. Jim Gray
Four outfits, all excellently presented with everything worn correctly. Very smart.

2nd. Silas Jones
Very smart outfit. Everything worn correctly with a special mention of his kilt which is hanging beautifully. Brogue laces a bit untidy, not uniform on both legs.

3rd. Andrea Jones
Very smart outfit. Everything worn correctly. The one item that sticks out is the bow tie which is not sitting well.

4th. Alexander Smith
Very smart outfit. The one thing that stands out unfortunately is the badly creased tails on the glengarry. They need a good iron!

Some helpful hints for some of the others:
Adam had rolled-up shirt sleeves and his sporran wasn't lined up symmetrically with the white stripes on his kilt.
Thomas looked as though he was very smartly turned out but unfortunately we couldn't see any of his uniform from the knees down. We need to see your entire outfit to qualify.

There will be a selection of prizes awarded as in past years but due to an unforeseen delay it will be later this week before it takes place. Competitors will contacted shortly about this. The results will be posted here next week.
