Many thanks to all the people who worked so well to make everything run so smoothly.
Thank you to Sheffield Pipe Band who hosted this event and organised it so well. The venue was excellent.
Thank you also to Bernadette Cahill, our steward for the day, who kept the flow of competitors moving so well.
Thank you also to Adrian Hoy who judged the event and who also gave such an excellent hands-on workshop the following day.
This was the first time we have held a solo drumming competition as a stand-alone event. It was also the first time we have ever hosted a solo competition for tenor drummers. This was a promising start.
